Eyeshadows in a stick?

I love this form of eyeshadows and now we have a less expensive alternative to MAC’s Shade-Sticks: MAYBELLINE NEW YORK-COLOR DEFINER WATERPROOF SHADOW STICK.

I’m really impressed by these ones and let me tell you why:
- You can chose between a good color range.
- There are very nice highlighter colors as well.
- Available in the drugstore, so they are easy to get.
- Maybelline’s version is less expensive than MAC’s Shade-Sticks and the quality is almost alike.

Sound’s great right?!

I haven’t noticed any negative aspects, but I know that there are two things, which might could be a negativity to some of you:
- There are just shimmery colors available so far and I know that some girls don’t like shimmer at all on their lids.
I also prefer the matte shades most of the time, but especially for highlighting I think that something light reflecting is a benefit.
- These Shadow-Sticks are waterproof. I don’t really know why, but I do know that a lot of girls don’t like waterproof makeup products.
The reason could be that it’s harder to remove, when you want to take off your makeup. On the other hand, waterproof products offer in my opinion (most of the time) more lasting power during the day.

And I really enjoy the fact, that Maybelline included sharpeners. It would be amiss if you would have to buy an extra sharpener for bigger sized pencils just because of these sticks, if you normally don’t use those. It’s nice that they have thought about this customer friendly idea!

But now let’s come to the most important part, the swatches:

You can also get fun colors like a lavender and a pea green, which might be added to my collection soon.

I hope you’ll like these as much as I do…

Have a nice day :)

Get a peeling while you sleep!!!

A while back I haven’t done any peeling, because my skin was just too sensitive concerning everything that required some sort of rubbing motion, like most peelings do.
But I noticed that my skin looked more and more unattractive and it wasn’t possible to make the foundation look nice on my skin, I came to the conclusion that it must be because of the missing peeling.

My skin got a little less sensitive, but still I didn’t wanted to use anything too rough on my skin. That’s why I was searching for something that exfoliates your skin on a gentle way.
And this is what I’ve found: KIEHL’S Over-Night Biological Peel

The implementation truly is very gentle:
- wash your face like you normally would do.
- apply a thin layer over your entire face and blend it down to your neck (I use 1 ½ pumps).
- go to bed and get your sleep.
- wake up and wash off the peeling with warm water.

Isn’t it nice to know that you’ll wake up with nice skin, without a lot of afford?! Of course everyone’s skin is different, but so far this is the best I’ve found for my skin skincare wise. My skin feels soft and super moisturized, which is hard to reach in my case.
And what I like the most is, if I have any breakout, I know it will be gone after I’ve used this serum. I think that’s because of the Urea, which is one of the ingredients and is always working great on my skin.

The only negativity I’m able to mention is the unbelievable high price, I had to pay 40 Pounds for this product. This is a lot and I thought a long time about this investment, but I’ve never regret it. Maybe it hurts not as much to spend the money, when you hear that it also is an Anti-Aging product.
Thinking about this you’ll have 3 products in 1:
-Peeling
-Moisturizer
-Anti-Aging-Agent

Overall I would recommend to get this, it’s worth it and it will last a long time!

One information needs to be mentioned: It’s only for normal to try, but also for sensitive skin. I’m sorry if you have more of an oily skin, but I can see why they don’t recommend it for this skin type, it’s just too moisturizing.

Thumbs up for a sleepy peeling :)

Maybelline Jade - Eye Makeup Remover

My semester break has just started and now I finally have the time again to write a new post for my blog :)

I’ve got a lot of new products during the past weeks/months and I actually didn’t knew, which product I should review first.
Since this is a predominantly beauty/makeup related blog I thought it would be nice to start with something that actually is made for removing all the makeup: Maybelline Jade-Eye Makeup Remover (for waterproof makeup).

To be honest with you I don’t use anything specific lately to remove the makeup on my facial skin anymore (I’ve normally used some Bebe Makeup-Wipes), but I definitely need something other than water and a washcloth to remove my mascara et cetera.

During my London-Vacation I got a sample of the “Take The Day Off” Makeup Remover by Clinique. I really liked it a lot and wanted to purchase the original bottle, but I was just not willing to spend €19,- on this product for 125 ml. So I started to search for a cheaper alternative and ended up getting the Maybelline version, which I even like so much more!

Why do I prefer this one, over the more expensive remover?
- You will need less product (The Clinique Makeup Remover was not very efficient).
- You will get rid of your makeup faster.
- It’s gentler to your eye area (You have to rub less intensive).
- The skin around the eyes feels very nice afterwards.
- It’s less expensive! (One bottle costs just € 3-4 for the same amount of product).

And for all the people, who have sensitive eyes like me: It’s perfume free, non-irritating and save to use with contacts.

As you can see this bottle contains two different liquids (white and blue), so you have to shake…shake…shake before usage (but actually I figured out, that it also works great without mixing both liquids through shaking.)

I haven’t tried the non-waterproof version, because it wouldn’t make sense since my mascara is waterproof. That’s why I can’t tell you if both are equally good, but I’m super duper happy with my waterproof edition.

In some other parts of the world there is a pink version available by Jade Maybelline, which is from their “Expert Eyes”-Line, but I really don’t know if it would be the same.

I’m sure there are tons of different Eye Makeup removers, so please let me know your favorite one.
