In combination with my recent "Back 2 School"-Makeup Tutorial (*click*) I wanted to show you some nice outfits, which are going to make your beginning of the next school session much more fun.
I know that there is the possibility of some regulations set by your school/college. I can't know about all of them, since this varies from school to school and country to country. Never the less, I think I have a good idea what is wearable for school. Keep in mind, even if you are not bound to specific uniform-regulations, there are a couple of things I would call inappropriate for a school outfit.
Before I show you my outfit-ideas I want to state a few things, which were important to me, while creating those outfits.
- You need to feel comfortable in it. You are wearing your school outfit for the most part of the entire day. You don't want to deal with annoying readjustments on your clothes.
- I wanted to create otfits, which are fashionable, but not too outstanding. You want to wear them to school and not on the runway.
- I think wearing different layers is helpful, because the weather/temperature could chance during the day.
- I wanted those outfits to be easy accessible for you and budget friendly, that's why I've picked only things you can find on Forever21.com .
Okay, let's go to the the most important part of this post:
The first outfit shows a colorful and sportive outfit. Wearing this outfit requires some braveness, because of all those colours you'll catch some attention, but on the other hand you'll feel comfy and it makes you look well dressed without looking disguised.
The second outfit is more casual and feminine at the same time. It's a little edgier because of this rustic denim blouse (which belongs underneath the sweater for this outfit), but it also looks very sweet, because of the swinging skirt. Especially for those who love to wear skirts, this one is perfect since it has a kneelength, which is more appropriate for school time.
The best part is, that those outfits are not just the perfect school outfits, but also very nice for your freetime activities.
I hope you'll have fun with shopping and have a great start at school :)

StyleStar of the Month: KIM KARDASHIAN
I wanted to add a new Fashion-Series to my Blog and my idea was to pick a celebritiy each month, who is going to be my StyleStar. According to each StyleStar, I'm going to search for a nice Outfit worn by this celebrity and restyle it, with Fashion-Pieces you can find currently on the market.
This month I've picked a female celebrity, who is in my opinion such a beautiful person with a very elegant and esthetic style: IT'S KIM KARDASHIAN.
I think it's amazing how she is showing everyone, that you don't have to have the "Ultimate Size Zero"-Body and still can be sexy, beautiful and confident, just the way you are!
This is the outift I've picked, worn by Kim Kardashian and the additional "Re-Styling"...
I've decided for this specific outfit, because Kim is wearing this cool huge hat, which is totaly in style at the moment!
Here you have a list of the clothes & accessories I've found to recreate Kim's outfit:
HAT:
Eugenia Kim
Catherine Wide Brim Hat with Pierced Feather
$ 385,-
BELT:

Tab Suede Waist Belt
$ 128,-
SHOES:

Some StreetStyle Inspirations
I love to work as a stylist for friends and family and even though I'm not working as a stylist professionally (at least not yet), I still get asked sometimes: "Where do you find your inspiration?"
Honestly, I don't really like those questions, because I can't really give you an answer to that! Inspiration is everywhere around you, you just have to learn to see something more in what is around you and try to imagine something you can work with. But that is easy said, when you don't really know where to look...and that's why I've picked this post for today.
I guess you've already heard, especially when we are talking about fashion, that a lot of people are finding inspiration by looking at the outfits of random peeps on the street. I'm one of those Public-Outfit-Viewers, too.
BUT keep in mind to try to find inspiration, you are looking for things giving you new ideas and not an invitation to copy someone's "creation".
Seeing what other people are wearing (and I'm not talking about judging, what someone has put on) makes we want to get creative and I feel some sort of passion for it. On the other hand I won't feel that much inspiration floating through me, when I'm looking at fashion magazines. I'm sure that's because I know there was so much money involved to find the perfect outfits to show the future customers, which makes it less fascinating to me.
Okay, enough of the rambling ;)
I'm searching through the internet from time to time, to see those StreetStyle-Pics of Fashion-Lovers and I've put together a little summary of my favorites.
(Please click on the image to enlarge it)
Now you have a couple of pictures to get creative with, but maybe you still want some hints to realize what is so special about these outfits:
- all of the girls played with different materials
- they combined various layers of garments
- you can see very bright/intense colors combined to one outfit
- the girls wear different styles at the same time (for example feminine & sportive)
And most importantly the girls are confident about what they are wearing, which makes the outfits look perfect and I wouldn't change anything...
I want to show you a little more in detail, what exactly inspires me by talking/writing about this following outfit.
Just have a look at the rusty-red thights and now imagine what the outfit would look like without the red thights.
It still would look wearable, but actually a bit boring and not so special in my opinion. That's why I always like to say, that the little details are making the difference.
Since we are already talking about the red thights, I like to mention the dark blue jacket and that little yellow piece of a plastic bag (I suppose it's a plastic bag), as well. This lady just followed a simple rule from colour-theory: The three primary-colours (red, blue & yellow) are always working together, they compliment each other, weather you like those colours or not.
And it might has happened by accident, but she also contolled the colour-weight: Yellow is a heavy colour, because of it's brightness you won't need much to make it recognizable, that's why this little yellowish piece is just perfect. Imagine what the outfit would look like, with yellow thights instead of the red ones. For my taste that would be way too much of such an intense colour.
Again: The little details are making the difference and I just love it!!!
I want to come to an end right now, because this post was just meant to be an inspiration to find inspiration (if that makes sense) :)
I hope this was a little help for you and you feel the power of creativity starting to burn inside of you...
Let me know, what inspires you the most!

M.A.C.-Vegas Volt
I wanted to post something colorful today, since the weather in Germany is nothing but cold, wet and grey for the past weeks, even though we have midsummer.
What could be better than a swatch of the brightest red lipstick I own. I’ve picked a color by M.A.C, which I’ve chosen, when I was attending the Back2Mac program, a couple of weeks ago.
I opted for Vegas Volt…
It’s not a pure red color. It looks orange, coral and red at the same time, which makes it a very versatile and wearable color.
On the image the lipstick looks creamy (maybe even opaque), since it’s an amplified finish this would make sense. But I have to admit, that this creamy finish, will not last for long. It turns into a matte and dry finish very quickly. This might be a problem, when your lips are generally missing some moisture. A good lipbalm is a necessary friend, when you want to enjoy this color.
However, even though the finish changes rapidly, the color stays on forever and is not losing its high pigmentation!
Let me know, what bright color you prefer for your lips to shine…

COVERGIRL-Pure Romance Quad
During my recent New York-Trip I was able to get hold of a Covergirl eyeshadow quad. Since it's very hard to find Covergirl products in Germany I was so happy and surprised, that you can find them in almost every drugstore in NY. I've decided for the "pure romance" palette, because of the mixture of mauve and brown colors, which is always nice to have.
Let's have a look at the swatches...
I really enjoy those colors and it's perfect to take this quad with you on a trip over the weekend, because the colors suite any occasion. BUT I'm not such a big fan of the pigmention, you need a lot of product to make the colors visible on the lid. However the colors do last long and they are easily blendable. And one more thing I want to mention, with my sensitive eyes I find that these eyeshadows sometimes irritate my eyes a little, but in comparison to other drugstore eyeshadows I've tried it's nothing too bad.
I know that Covergirl is very popular, so please let me know about your favorite quads and colors.
Hope you'll have a great week :)

URBAN DECAY-NAKED PALETTE
Today I have some more eyeshadow swatches for you. I know that there have been tons of posts and videos about this palette, but since I love it so much, I really need to do one for my Blog as well. Even if it's just for my own fun ;)
Look at this beauty, isn't she gorgeoues, with all the neutral shades...
Here you have the snapshots of the pans...
And of course the swatches (please click on the image, for a larger view)...
I love all of the colors so much. Someone who is not deeply interested into makeup, probably would think, that it's useless to have that many neutral colors. BUT every beauty lover, will notice the difference between the shades. Of course you won't need all of them, still I really think this palette is a good investment.
+ The brush coming with this palette, is amazing. Not comparable with those sponge applicators, which come along with a lot of palettes. I think just the brush is worth half the price of the entire palette.
+ You'll also get the Primer Potion, which I know is loved by a lot of you guys (But I need to mention, it's not a full size bottle).
+ The pigmentation is amazing, the color shows up immediately without layering tons of coats.
- The only negative thing (which is a common problem) you won't find a lot of matte shades, which I think is sad.
Hope you'll have a great week, with a lot of sun and fun.

DIY: Olive Oil & Sugar Peeling
I have a little "Do it yourself"-Recipe for you guys.
I love it, because it's so easy & fast & inexpensive & all natural.
Here is what you need for my DIY-Peeling:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon sugar
1 bowl
cotton pads
(This amount of product is what you need for your entire face.)
Now mix the sugar with the olive oil and you should get a paste looking like this:
Put some product on a cotton pad and start scrubbing your skin...
Some more informations:
- You can use it on wet and dry skin.
- The amount of fall off is huge, that's why it's better to do it over the sink.
- Use warm water for cleaning your face afterwards (I like to use a washcloth in
addition)
- This peeling is safe for all skin types and the oil won't clock your pores.
- Don't over peel your skin. Too much peeling can cause bad irritaion.
I've also filmed a video a while back, explaining how to make this peeling.

Hope you try this and like the result :)

OPI-Altar Ego
I know OPI-Polishes are so popular and you can find swatches everywhere in the internet, but since I love this color so much I had to include a little post on my blog as well.
Let's have a look at the color I'm talking about...
I know it's not an intense color, but honestly finding the perfect nude color, for an everyday nail isn't such an easy thing and I guess I've found it! And I know I'm not the only one on a constant hunt :)
Sooo, this is my nude-babypink of choice called ALTAR EGO. You might have noticed the pink glitter detail on my ring finger. It's inspired by Lorraine, who also runs two YouTube-Channel:
TheCurrentCustom
TheCurrentBoobies
She probably wasn't wearing the exact combination, but I got the idea from her.
The glitter polish I've picked is by wet'n'wild and the color is called SPARKED. I love it!!!
A little warning: The OPI-Polish is not as opaque as it might seem, when you see this in the bottle. It's really more a sheer and iridescent color!
I hope you get inspired , too :)

A Special Bow Tie
At the moment I'm a big fan of delicate and sweet jewelry and have a look at what I've found during my vacation at forever21...
Isn't this a cute little thing. Sometimes I tink bows and hearts (and so on) are a bit too playful for me, but this one looks just so precious, that I had to grap it. I paired it with something less girlish, my good old lumberjack shirt. I enjoy to combine contrasts, when it comes to fashion...
I had to decide between gold and silver, but if I have the option I always tend to pick the goldish version. But on the other hand for a price of $ 2.80, you could actually take both version with you (which I did not).
At this point, I like to thank my friend Mandy (my vacation partner), who got me this cutie. THANK YOU <3
If you want to have this necklace for your own, have a look at forever21.com . Forever21.com ships worlwide, as far as I know...

BENEFIT: CREASELESS CREAM EYESHADOW/ LINER
This is one of my Sephora-Bargains I've found in New York. I was so amazed on my first Sephora vivit ever, that I went a little shopping-crazy, but I am really happy with my choices so far.
I've heard a lot about the shade "Skinny-Jeans" in particular and I promise I wasn't really interested till I've seen this colour swatched at the back of my hand.
After all I think it's the perfect colour when you want to put on some nice makeup, but you are struggling with a lack of time, to put much afford in your look. And this formulation is perfect for beginners as well.
Take a look at this nice packaging...
...but most important are the swatches, this is the more intense version...
... here you can see "Skinny Jeans" nicely blended...
For me it's hard to describe this shade. It's somehow a mixture of olive and grey, with some goldish undertone. At least that's how I see it, but it's definitely unique and I love it!
I know that some of you, might think a cream eyeshadow is not the right thing. But especially this one is so uncomplicated and you don't even need to use a brush or something like that. This one is foolproof ;)
Hope you like this colour as much as I do and let me know what colour you would prefer. I guess my next Creaseless Cream is going to be R.S.V.P., any other recommendations ?

URBAN DECAY: NYC-PALETTE
This palette truly deserves a detailed post, therefore it's SWATCH-TIME !!! My introdcution is going to be very short: I love this palette. The colour range is great. The pigmention is amazing. The packaging is beautiful. The glittery colours have a slight fall-of-problem.When you own this palette, you don't need another one. That's it :)
I hope you like the colours as much as I do. I would always recommend to get this palette, because you can pretty much create any look you want with these shades and the quality is so nice!
And you might have noticed, that there is more in this palette than just the eyeshadows. Hard to believe, but it also comes with two 24/7 Glide-On Eyeliners in ransom and zero, plus a bottle of the famous Primer Potion. And BTW my favorite combination for an evening look: MONEY+UZI+PERVERSION.
Have fun and let me know your favorite colours :)

I'm in love with...a kitchen !
Recently I found a cute little picture of the sweetest kitchen I’ve ever seen. Before I’ve seen this picture I didn’t knew, that I would like this kind of style, for my own home. Now I do know :)
Just wanted to share this with you very quickly…
…here is the kitchen I’m talking about.
…and along with this picture I’ve fallen in love with the corresponding blog. Unfortunately everything is written in German (sorry, if you are unable to read that), but the images are inspiring enough to visit this cute wonderland.
If you are interested in interior design and decorations just have a look:

Beauty Investigations: HYPOALLERGENIC
Sorry for being so unproductive with my blog in the past weeks, but I’m back with a new series “Beauty Investigations by Nele”. Basically I’m taking a closer look on terms and ingredients regularly used concerning cosmetic products.
Today I’m going to start my new series with a term, which is very important to me, because it’s something I have to deal with myself. I’m talking about the often used term “hypoallergenic”. Nowadays you can find this term more often and the general idea behind this was, to make it easier for people with allergies, to find something that’s not causing any reaction.
BUT there is a huge BUT I would like you to know…
All products using “hypoallergenic” as a characteristic indicate that this product is “having a decreased tendency to provoke an allergic reaction"”.
Please read this sentence carefully: It means that there is a lower risk of experiencing an allergic reaction by using this product, but you can’t be 100 % sure to avoid an allergy by using it.
I would be just fine by knowing that I probably would have less problems by using a certain product stating that it’s certified as hypoallergenic. Of course a company has to be on the safe side. And saying that their products are definitely not causing any allergy on you means a high risk, especially by thinking about, that there is always somehow something new our body dislikes, no matter if we had to deal with an allergy before or not.
Here comes another BUT: The biggest problem is that there are no regulations, which would control/limit the usage of this specific term. There are no regulations telling the companies, how they have to proof that they have created a hypoallergenic product. Bottom line any brand offering cosmetic products could use this term, for any product this brand sells!
Do you understand what this means? Today we always have to think about the marketing aspect and wouldn’t it be clever, to describe something as non-allergenic. Not just thinking about the persons affected by allergies who would crave for this product. Even the not affected ones would think that this must be truly a good product and that would lead to the effect of making people want to spend more for this product! Right???
I’m sure that there are a lot of brands trying to satisfy all their customers and truly test all their products, before you get to buy them and are really successful by using ingredients which are doing a great job for our skins, without showing negative aspects.
I hope this could clear up a few discussions going on in the internet and I hope that there will be a regulation soon to help all the people who have to trust in this term.

GRAMMY Makeup Tutorial inspired by LEA MICHELE
I have to admit that I don’t know anything about the TV-Show “Glee”, I haven’t watched one episode, yet. Since Germany is always very slow in showing American shows, Glee has just started about 3 weeks ago here. Therefore I totally missed the hype, that goes along with this show.
When I’ve seen Lea Michele at the Grammy’s I really didn’t knew who she was, but she looked extremely beautiful. After I’ve did my research I found out, that she belongs to the “Glee”-Cast and thought it might be interesting for you to see how her makeup is done, which she has worn at the event.
As promised in my video I’m going to show you the picture I used for my inspiration, here it is…

IT-Piece of the month: Converse Shoes
I haven’t written anything fashion related in a while, but today is my fashion comeback ;)
What I’m going to show you today is nothing new at all, but it’s something reinvented in my case. I’m talking about the good old “Chucks”.
Okay, mine are not really old. What I wanted to say is, that these shoes are never totally out of fashion. You see them everywhere, at all times.
But I have to admit, I didn’t own a pair of these shoes in the last perhaps seven years. I just had the feeling they won’t fit to my style and personality.
Now I’m proud to call a nice pair my own again and surprisingly it’s a very unique color. Thinking about me, loving everything navy/ black or grayish colored, I’ve decided for a color which normally really is not me. It’s called mustard yellow and I personally think that’s the exact right name for it. I don’t like to see anything too bright colored on me and this is the perfect amount of yellow paired with something warm like ochre. It just makes me happy to see this nice color, every time I see them wrapped around my feet.
And something I haven’t expected: This color fits just perfectly to one of my latest finds from “asos.com”. It’s a cognac colored leather jacket in the so called biker style. I love how these two rather abnormal pieces in my wardrobe kind of married each other, during the past few weeks…
And now you can say “Hi” to my new babies…
Today’s moral of the story: “Sometimes you have to leave your habits behind, to experience a positive surprise”.
What do you think of this color???

Favorite peachy (and coral) Lipglosses
Since I feel in the mood to have a little bit of sunshine around me and I want to fight the rainy and dark days here in Germany, I thought it would be appropriate to write a post about my favorite peachy/coral lipgloss colors, cause they always look like the fun springtime.
Here you have the swatches of the four lipglosses I’m going to talk about now:
So let’s get started…
ESPRIT-Styling XL Lip Plumper in GLOWY PINK
I’m in general not a big fan of lipglosses, which promise to make your lips look fuller. It’s the same with this one, but I just liked the color so much when I’ve seen it, that I didn’t paid much attention on what was written on the bottle. The feeling on the lips is a little uncomfortable, because it starts to tingle immediately. I think that’s what should give you the extra volume and it really does volumize. If you have sensitive lips, I would recommend to stay away from those ones, but the color is what I really love. And I like the finish as well. It looks really like gel, as if you would have a mirror on your lips. The smell of this is a bit weird, toothpaste is what comes to my mind. And actually this would make sense, because menthol is often used to archive this extra volume
RIMMEL-Vinyl Gloss (Voluptuously Shiny Lipgloss) in HIPPY SPIRIT
To pronounce this name is a pain, but I really love to use it. It also should add volume, but it works a little different than the Esprit-Version. It’s more a visual effect, archived by the glitter particles, instead of actually really adding volume to the lips.
The color is an intense orange, but it’s still wearable, because of the included shimmer, which takes a little bit of the intense color away.
The smell of this is so yummy, it’s a mixture of vanilla & exotic fruits & gummy bear.
MAC-Tinted Lipglass in PINK LEMONADE
This one is probably the most intense one, because it’s an opaque color. I wouldn’t wear this one if I feel in the mood for a neutral look, but I really love this color. It’s so fresh looking and it makes my face look more alive (if that makes sense). The quality and the staying power is the best in this case in comparison to the other three glosses. If I would have to pick my favorite , I guess it would be this one out of the four.
MAYBELLINE-Watershine Gloss in CHERRY PINK
This color is the perfect nude-peach. I like to use this for neutral looks, where I still don’t want to have a super boring color on my lips. So you can add a bit of color, without making it look to obvious.
The gloss looks pretty thick in the bottle, but once you have this on your lips, it looks sheer. And again, this one smells yummy. I would love to have a perfume, with this exact scent. It smells very sweet, but fruity.
I hope you like the colors and got some springtime inspiration…
